The Beosound Explore has the typical Bang & Olufsen DNA. It is designed to deliver not the loudest, but the best sound quality. With its two 1.8-inch full-range drivers, the BeoSound Explore offers impressive musical clarity and depth for a speaker of this size. The main focus is on outdoor performance and outstanding bass. The Beosound Explore delivers 59dB of bass power compared to the previous BeoPlay P2's only 46dB, which approaches the 62dB of the 2nd generation Beoplay A1. Want it louder? Of course, you can sync two Beosound Explorers for stereo playback.
A wide range of possible locations means Beosound Explore can be placed in many different positions. It offers 360-degree sound and comes with a versatile strap and snap hook so it can be hung anywhere.

Beosound Explore is the first speaker on the market to feature Type II anodized aluminum. This process involves dipping the aluminum in a sulfur bath, creating a layer of aluminum oxide on the surface. This gives the material greater scratch and abrasion resistance than traditionally treated aluminum, meaning Beosound Explore will stay looking new for longer and will be less likely to be damaged, for example when carried in a bag with your keys.
Beosound Explore is a reliable all-day speaker that will accompany you through the ups and downs of everyday life. It has a longer lifespan than current Bang & Olufsen products and is extremely durable with a strong and robust construction that includes a stable vertical aluminum structure behind horizontal aluminum ribs. It has been tested to remain functional from drops of up to 1.5 meters (approx. 5 feet) - that's double the test performance of the second generation A1.
In addition, the Beosound Explore is fully IP67 certified, which means it is completely protected against the ingress of dust or sand and is waterproof up to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. Ideal for sunny days on the beach.
